Remote & Outsourced Professional Services

A virtual CFO, a virtual accountant, a full virtual finance department, or remote internal audit support — resourced by IABP and delivered to your time zone.

Remote professional services

Four ways to add finance capability without adding headcount

Each is a defined role with a defined output, resourced by IABP and coordinated by a single engagement contact. Start with one and add the others as the organization grows.

Virtual CFO

Strategic financial management without the cost of a full-time CFO.

  • Financial planning
  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting
  • Cash-flow management
  • MIS
  • KPI dashboards
  • Management reporting
  • Board reporting

Virtual Accountant

The day-to-day ledger, kept current and reconciled, so the reporting above it is trustworthy.

  • Bookkeeping
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • General ledger
  • Financial statements
  • Management accounts

Virtual Finance Department

Build an entire remote finance function around your business requirements.

Transaction processing, month-end close, management reporting, controls and board pack — staffed as a team rather than a single role, with defined escalation and cover.

  • Defined roles, calendar and service levels
  • Documented processes and handover
  • Scales up and down with the business

Remote Internal Audit & Audit Support

Internal audit planning, fieldwork and reporting delivered remotely, plus support to the external audit cycle.

  • Internal audit planning
  • Control testing
  • Risk assessment
  • Working paper support
  • Audit documentation
  • Internal audit reporting
  • Audit coordination

A note on terminology

IABP provides internal audit and audit support. It does not hold itself out as performing statutory or regulated audit in any jurisdiction where that requires local authorization. Where a statutory audit opinion is required, it is issued by an appropriately licensed audit firm. Read the full disclaimer.

How remote delivery works

Same process, different geography

Remote does not mean informal. Every engagement runs on an agreed calendar, an agreed document exchange route and an agreed review step before anything is issued.

  1. 01

    Scope & access

We agree the role, the calendar and the systems access required.

  2. 02

    Onboarding

Chart of accounts, opening balances, processes and approvals documented.

  3. 03

    Run

The cycle runs to the calendar, with a named contact and defined cover.

  4. 04

    Review & report

Output is reviewed by IABP before release through secure digital channels.

Time-zone overlap

Agreed working-hours overlap with your team, set at onboarding.

Secure exchange

Documents move through agreed secure channels, not ad-hoc email.

Continuity

Documented processes mean cover is possible without a restart.

Where local rules apply

Cross-border delivery, handled properly

Remote delivery does not remove local obligations. Where an assignment touches statutory filing, tax representation, audit sign-off or any other regulated activity in your jurisdiction, IABP engages an appropriately qualified and authorized local professional or firm to perform or support that element, and says so in the engagement terms.

  • Delivered directly by IABP

Bookkeeping, management reporting, budgeting, internal audit, MIS, advisory support.

  • Delivered with a local partner

Statutory audit opinions, tax representation, statutory filings, legal advice.

  • Always

One IABP engagement contact coordinating both.
