What IABP does and does not represent itself to be, and how regulated services are handled across jurisdictions.
Professional Services Disclaimer
IABP provides professional business support, advisory, accounting, financial reporting, research, training and technology-enabled services. Certain services, including statutory audit, public practice, tax representation, legal services and other regulated activities, may require specific authorization, registration or licensing in the relevant jurisdiction. Where required, IABP works with appropriately qualified and authorized professionals or firms. Service availability is subject to applicable laws, professional standards and engagement terms.
1. What IABP is
IABP (Innovate Accounting & Business Progress) is a professional business services platform. It delivers work through its internal team, a network of qualified consultants and professional firms, and specialized implementation partners.
2. What IABP does not claim to be
IABP does not represent itself as a statutory audit, tax, legal or other regulated professional firm in a jurisdiction unless appropriately authorized to provide such services in that jurisdiction. Nothing on this website should be read as a claim to hold a licence, registration, practising certificate or professional authorization that IABP does not hold.
3. How regulated services are handled
Where an assignment includes an element that is regulated in the client's jurisdiction — for example a statutory audit opinion, tax representation before an authority, a statutory filing, or legal advice — that element is performed or supported by an appropriately qualified and authorized local professional or firm. The arrangement is identified at scoping and recorded in the engagement terms.
Where IABP supports such work, its role is limited to preparation, documentation, analysis and coordination. Responsibility for the regulated opinion, filing or representation remains with the authorized professional or firm.
4. Terminology used on this website
- “Audit support” and “assurance support” mean assistance with preparation, documentation and coordination around an audit or assurance engagement. They do not mean the issue of a statutory audit opinion.
- “Internal audit” means an internal review function performed for management or an audit committee. It is distinct from statutory external audit.
- “Tax advisory” and “VAT advisory” mean advice provided directly or through appropriately qualified professionals, as applicable law requires. They do not imply a right to represent a client before a tax authority in every jurisdiction.
- “Virtual CFO” means an outsourced senior finance role. It does not imply appointment as a statutory officer or director of the client.
- “Countries we serve” indicates markets in which IABP has served or can serve clients. It does not indicate an office, establishment, registration or licence in that country.
5. Service availability
International service availability depends on the nature of the assignment and applicable local professional, regulatory and licensing requirements. IABP may decline to accept, or may restructure, an engagement where the requested service cannot lawfully be provided in the relevant jurisdiction under the proposed arrangement.
6. Website content
Content on this website is general information only and is not accounting, audit, tax, legal, investment or other professional advice. It does not take account of your particular circumstances, jurisdiction or regulatory framework, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice obtained on your own facts.
Legislation, professional standards and regulatory requirements change. IABP does not warrant that website content is current, complete or applicable to your situation, and accepts no liability for action taken or not taken on the basis of it.
7. No engagement by website use
Accessing this website, submitting an enquiry or receiving a response does not create a professional engagement. An engagement arises only when scope, responsibilities, deliverables and terms are agreed in writing.
8. Third-party content
Links to third-party websites, including the client portal environment, are provided for convenience. IABP does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices.
9. Forward-looking statements
Statements about planned services, publications, training programmes or geographic coverage describe present intention only. They are not commitments, and services marked as in development may change or may not proceed.
10. Questions
If you are unsure whether IABP can deliver a particular service in your jurisdiction, ask before you engage: info.iabp@gmail.com. We would rather tell you at scoping that something requires a local partner than discover it later.
